Matt Cutts, the head of Google’s Web Spam Team answers the question “Where Will Google Be In 5 Years?”

Matt explains that he would like Google to be as open as it possibly can be going into the future. He envisions Google being more open and transparent with people’s data, forcing other companies to follow suit in order to compete. He describes a wish for an in-eye retina scanning laser monitor, increased cloud computing usage and increased security for devices and programs.

Finally, he explains that he would like to find a way to crack down on web hackers and malware creators going forward. He believes web servers will be a larger target for attacks, as opposed to the majority of attacks being on personal computers today. Not many people pay attention to the security of their web servers, so he wishes to start a trend towards greater web server security and protection.
